Video Blog: "Crush It. Why Now Is The Time To Cash In On Your Passion." Book Give Away.

  • Rating: 0 after 1 vote

If you haven't heard about Crush it Gary Vaynerchuck's book that comes out October 13 you need to catch up and pre-order your copy today.

Gary V is my business idol and as the unofficial Mayor of this Community I'd like to recommend that we read the book together then support and energize each other to apply our talents to more meaningful work.

We've pre-ordered about 30 copies and will give out a few to members of this Talented Community. To get in on the drawing to get a free copy join in this discussion and tell us.

1. What is your talent's passion?
2. How can TR and this community support you in "Crushing It"?

Read more about Gary here or learn about his new book, Crush It! here.

Gary shows TR some love:

Just wondering if you sent the "Crush It" books out to those who won one? I know you announced my name but I never received the book. Just wondering.

My passion is assisting people in finding theirs... you meet them often in our business. It's a plus to find motivated people & not set up road blocks to de-motivate them. Our business is so very labor intensive we have to be absolutely the best at not only transferring skills, but giving folks a reason why they may want to consider going through the pain of acquiring these skills... Getting out of their comfort zones sometimes, pushing their own personal envelope... so many businesses & "institutions" don't quite get this sort of "Situational Leadership" approach, but it's important we are expert at it...
It's more fun... & the whole developmental piece of understanding is still in its infancy as far as I'm concerned... but we are getting better - we must in order to stay in business.
I want both books... I like small towns too...

My passion is truly making a difference in the lives of human beings...there is nothing more fulfilling to me than for someone to come to me and thank me for helping them reach their dreams or goals. I was reminded of this on Wednesday when a man I worked with passed away and his daughter called me and said "dad had a short VIP list of people that he wanted called and you were one of those people because you helped him get long term disability and he received a paycheck for our family until he passed away!" I had stayed in contact with him over the years, checking on him and his family! That day made me very proud to have been an HR professional....

Still pounding on doors waiting for them to open! I'll keep pounding until the door opens or the wall falls down! It could be I'll be forced to something different. Not waiting for options to appear but sometimes regaurdles of effort they happen when it's ready and not before.
Ideas are welcome after 6 months of the job search I'm still learning how to do it right.
Love to "Crush it"

@Anne Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm. Call me sometime let's brainstorm 859.312.8461!
@Stephanie Don't keep that a secret, tell the world. And, forget waiting to write for your company. Start your own recruiting blog! You can start to position yourself as a thought leader and take charge of your future. Worked for Joel www.cheezhead.com

I have a secret.

I love to write. On paper, computer and typewriter. I have all the passion to write everyday, but I don't have a mission. Yet. I am hoping to find an employer who will take advantage of my love of writing and let me finally publish a recruiting blog. I have a list of about 60 ideas for my current company, but alas, no permission will be granted for me to act as their voice.
I want to take my passion for writing and crush it!
