How did you hear about TALENT revolution?
Amanda Hite
My strengths are:
Coaching, counseling and mentoring individuals and teams. I love to assess complex people situations and provide problem solving strategies.
My favorite thing about my generation is?
What I know about us boomers is that we won’t go quietly…we want to live out loud….we will reinvent ourselves and move beyond our regrets and fears to live from our best and highest self…many of us will re-awaken to the hopes and dreams that we hold deep inside….we want what we do to have meaning, we want to give back and we want to feel joy in what we do and who we are. We will inspire and give hope to those behind us….As a boomer, I can’t think of a better time to be alive.

Susan Fawcett...a part of the Revolution

A change agent, Susan Fawcett has spent the last 25 years helping individuals and corporations unlock the door to their highest potential. As a corporate consultant, she provides Executive and Performance Coaching, Career Management, Leadership Selection and Development, Strategic Teambuilding, Change Management, Wellness Programs and MBTI Workshops. As an adjunct professor for the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Susan provides MBA professionals with winning career management tools and strategies designed to keep them on the leading edge of their careers.

A Dallas native, she earned her Masters Degree in Counseling Education from the University of North Texas and her Bachelors of Science degree from Baylor University. A qualified and skilled facilitator of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Susan has done hundreds of MBTI workshops. Passionate about people, Susan uses her energetic style and humor to raise the level of self awareness, communication and performance of her audiences.

Executive and Performance Coaching can be a highly effective strategy to take individuals to the next level of performance and can lead to breakthrough results. Utilizing an integrative consulting approach that takes the whole person into consideration, Susan partners with individuals and organizations to identify and overcome core obstacles while designing key strategies for success and bottom line results.

Career Management is a powerful investment in a company’s greatest equity; their people. Through the use of strategic career tools, individuals gain clear career direction and guidance that will result in increased job satisfaction, retention and performance. The development of individual career plans is an essential part of an organization’s overall legacy and succession planning process.

Leadership Selection is the key to attracting, retaining and developing high impact leaders. Through the use of selection tools and assessments, a person’s capabilities, developmental opportunities and cultural fit are measured against core competencies and position requirements.

Strategic Teambuilding is an effective way to transform dysfunctional and even mediocre teams into high performance teams. Susan works within the framework of 5 key areas of Team Performance: Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results.

Change Management is essential into today’s changing economic and workforce. Susan is committed to helping companies manage the “human side” of change, knowing that the lack of effective change management strategies can lead to poor morale, decreased productivity and costly delays.

MBTI Workshops are a dynamic, energizing and interactive way to build teams, improve communication, increase self awareness, build rapport and reduce conflict. In a fun and safe environment, Susan explores the preferences people have for gaining energy, gathering information, making decisions and handling stress. People leave with a better understanding of individual personality styles and differences as well as effective tools to use to improve relationships and performance.

Wellness Programs are intended to fill the gap between traditional healthcare and professional development programs. Partnering with experts in stress management, fitness and nutrition, energy management, self esteem and work life balance, Susan and her team provide integrated programs designed to decrease health care costs and promote overall wellness

Do you have an exit strategy for your inner critic?

I don’t have to meet your inner critic…I have my own. I’d offer to share him with you, but something tells me you aren't going to take me up on my offer. Just as well, because I've put mine on notice.

It was a tough conversation actual

Sometimes when everything falls apart, the real change can begin

I don’t know about you, but I don’t particularly like it when it feels as if everything is falling apart. In fact, I really don’t like it. If you’re like most of us, you do about everything you can to hold it together…to keep the balls in the air…to stay in your comfort zone.

But sometimes, just sometimes, if you’re lucky…you won’t be able to hold things together. You won’t be able to stop the balls from falling…the seemingly worst thing happens…you’re laid off from your job in a recession and… Continue

Your Baggage is NOT your Identity

If you are anything like me you have baggage…actually if you’re anything like most of the people I’ve encountered through work or friendship, you have baggage. We all have it…it is a human condition. The problem is not that you have baggage…it is what you do with it.

I used to fly with a lot of baggage. Being a “Perceiver” on the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, I like options. I never know what I might “feel” like wearing, I never know what extra things I might need should I decide to spontaneousl… Continue

Coded for Error

We are built to make mistakes, coded for error. Lewis Thomas

Lewis Thomas was one of the great physicians and science writers of our time. He used research from cell biology to show how species evolve and thrive by making and learning from their mistakes. He said that his own mistakes were his best teachers. In the book Broken Open, Elizabeth Lesser poses the question, “Why then, if we are biologically coded for error, do we spend so much energy trying to appear as if we never make mistakes, th… Continue

Inside the Executive Mind

I have had the privilege of poking into the minds of some great executives. One of my favorite clients had a saying that Fawcett was going to “shrink your mind”. I’d like to think I helped expand minds…not shrink them…but who cares what it is called. It is the same thing, no matter what you call it.
Actually, I like to think it of it more of a journey we take together….it just so happens that the land that we are exploring is their mind, their emotions, their fears, their ambitions, their hopes,… Continue
