Poems By SABO (vol 1)

I Dream

I dream

I've imagined that
I could fly up
high and touch the sky.

I've felt feelings
that no person
should have to feel

I've challenged things
that I did not
know or understand.

I've often wished
that all the fighting
in life would end.

I see without truly
seeing and know
without really knowing

I dream

the frog chases the dog in what seems to be a big surprise.

Notice to all Employee's

It has come to our attention that we have four suspected terrorists working here.

Three of the four have been apprehended: Bin-Sleeping, Bin-Loafin and Bin-Drinkin have been taken into custody and removed from the premised.

No on fitting the description of the forth employee, Bin-Workin, has been found yet but we are confident that anyone who looks like he's Bin-Workin will be easy to spot.

Still I Rise

My Favorite poem by a great poet Maya Angelou.

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like the moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hope springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down… Continue

Forgive me when I whine

Today, upon a bus, I saw a girl with golden hair. I envied her, she seemed so gay, and wished I was as fair. When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle. She had one leg and wore a crutch. But as she passed, a smile. Forgive me when I whine, I have two legs the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy. The lad who sold it had such a charm. I talked with him, he seemed so glad. If I were late, it'd do no harm. As I left, he said to me, "I thank you, you've been so kind. It… Continue

Flight Pattern

This coming fall when you see geese heading south for the winter; flying along in a V formation, you might like to consider what science has discovered about why geese fly this way.

It has been learned as each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in a V formation, the whole flock adds at least seventy-one percent greater flying range then if the bird flew on its own.

People who share common sense of community can get where they are quicker an… Continue

If you had a Bank

If you had a bank that credited your account each morning with $86,400, that carried over no balance form day to day, and allowed you to keep no cash in your account, and every evening cancelled whatever part of the amount you had failed to use during the day, what would you do? Draw out every cent of course.

Well, you have such a bank and its name is "time". Every morning it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Each night it rules off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good pu… Continue
