What a great post. This subject is near and dear to me as some years ago I wanted to write a novella which included several stories about different bullies. Nothing in this world turns me off more or makes me angrier than people who take advantage...

My Affair With My Career

The revolving door spins... out pops another new manager....
The staff gathers to see the new person that will "control their livelihood"...
The whispers begin...
The thoughts start to swirl... Will we be treated well and with respect by this new person? Will they consider us individually? What have they been told about us? Will they care about us?
The anticipation of meeting this new person is scary... and exciting...
Will the necessary changes be made?
Why are all of our jobs posted all over t… Continue

The voice...

So, as I sit, thinking of fresh new sexy ways to help build this awesome company I work for... my mind begins to trail...

Getting ready to call people I have never met... in hopes of finding a connection with them so that I can help them find and define their UCL...

I listen to the words they speak. I hear every word they are communicating. I am paying attention to the fluctuations in their dimeanors, speech, and intonations... listening to hear their passion. Listening to find that spark that… Continue

Your Inner Song

So, as I sit, working and researching for the coolest new company... ever... I turn on some "feel good tunes".

As I choose what to listen to, I carefully select the music I wanna groove to... am I in a serious mood only to select opera or classical (yep, I'm a nerd)... do I put on my soul sounds and crank Mary J Blige... do I put on some funky tunes with a dancin beat... or do I go old school?

So many options... I may give up and go back to work... (I chose a mixture... thank God for the wonde… Continue

Hi Laurie! Thank you so much for your welcome and your page is great (gives me a lot of good ideas.) I'm looking forward to networking on this amazing site (the layout is one of the coolest I have looked at as a whole!) and working on my page. I have a two week vacay coming up so I'm looking forward to working on it then. Looking forward to more chats and have a great rest of the week!

Thank you Laurie. I am excited to be here as well. I am content with the current role in my organization. I am working on a project that goes live in few months. It has been challenging and hence a learning process for me. However, I wish to redefine my career in the long term. I would like to know how Talent Revolution can help me find and prepare for a challenging role in a high tech Research lab or company where I can push myself to the limits and make the best use of my talents. By the way, the collection of songs on your home page is good. I would keep coming back -Giriraj

Hi Laurie,
Thanks for adding me to your network a few days past. I have been looking around the site and inviting friends. I have also posted a few discussions, but with not much activity. I've noticed that there is only one category that has a lot of play. Anyway I'll keep posting and see what develops. thanks.

Hi to you, too! So glad to be here. Genuinely. I log in to TR, and truly, my shoulders relax. Grand place to stretch out. AND your Jason Mraz song is one of my current favorites. My daily mantra.

"It's your God forsaken right to be loved, loved, loved. . . ."

Love it.

Look forward to more chats, Laurie.
