What is your Ultimate Career Lifestyle?
I am diligently pursuing my UCL. First of all I'm working with an organization whose values are aligned with mine. I'm working with awesome people who care most about the team's success. I'm doing what I love to do by working with people, encouraging them to achieve at a higher level and make the most out of life. I've never been more inspired to take my game to an entirely new level. I truly love what I'm doing right now and I'm filled with enthusiasm about the future prospects for Talent Revolution!

About me:
I'm all about my family and friends. I have two incredible sons - Jeff & Bryce and I cherish my time with them. Jeff is 21 and working in the restaurant business. Bryce will be 16 and is a Sophomore in High School. I guess you could call the three of us "sports junkies". I'm an avid golfer and play when time allows - which isn't often these days. I place a high value on close friendships. I still stay in touch with my friends from high school & college. We've been getting together every year for the past 30 years and change. I'm passionate about my work and my work associates whom I also consider my friends. I feel like I'm just now hitting my stride! I've learned the only way to live life and get the most out of it is to be enthusiastic and stay focused on the positive. When I do this great things always happen. I feel extremely blessed for my family and for those friendships that have been established and maintained for decades. I have tons of experience in the restaurant business (28 years, but who's counting?). I've enjoyed corporate life and now I get to focus on my true passion - helping people achieve their ultimate career lifestyle and helping organizations attract and develop the best talent. The present is fun and the future is bright!

You Gotta Be a Dork Before You Can Be Cool!

You know how there are just certain “rules” in life? Like you can’t have 20”1 biceps unless you workout or you can’t control the weather? There’s no denying that you can’t be cool unless you are a dork first. I know the ladies might disagree but George Clooney was a dork at some point in his life. Nobody is exempt from this rule.

I love looking up definitions of words that we use in our everyday conversations, dork being one of them. With the advent of Wikipedia no word is safe. The definition… Continue

The Time Has Come….

What happens when your significant other, and your best friend and business partner decide to spend 30 days changing their lives and influencing others to do the same? I suppose there are several options.

I could ignore them which is virtually impossible because if they aren’t blogging, tweeting or facebooking about it, they are talking about it! And on the rare occasion they aren’t talking about it their friends and followers are talking about it! So ignoring isn’t an option.

Option #2 - I co… Continue

Satisfaction Ain’t Good Enough

I think it’s rather comical when companies boast that their ultimate goal is 100% customer satisfaction. Webster defines satisfaction as the following:
The contentment one feels when one has fulfilled a desire, need, or expectation; "the chef tasted the sauce with great satisfaction"

I find this so interesting because even when old Webster used it in a sentence he had to enhance it with the word “great”. My point is in today’s marketplace satisfaction only gets you in the game. You must do some… Continue

Say Hello to My Little Friend!

I love to read self help books. A – it’s cheaper than therapy. B – It beats watching Dr. Phil and C – I can always find a nugget or two I can apply to my life which ultimately makes it better.

Recently I picked up Wayne Dyer’s The Power of Intention and I can’t put it down. I love the concept and I believe it to be true. Dyer’s basic premise is that we get what we think about. It’s the old scarcity vs. abundance thinking. If we think there’s enough of the good stuff to go around chances are we… Continue

The Seven Phrases That Make Me Cringe!

I know I can be obnoxious when it comes to my opinions about customer service but I have to share the 7 phrases that make me cringe during my dining experience. Some may think I’m being too picky or too critical. All I can say in my defense is the service folks in a restaurant are the brand ambassadors and everything they say or do either reinforces the brand or undermines it.

It’s different if the brand is ketchup or a can of soup. The soup goes in the can at the factory the label goes on the… Continue

Bill... in response to your question... no, don't have your son tested, not for the sake of curiosity. Everything we do as parents communicates something about what we value or consider important. If you have him tested, it tells your son that cognitive intelligence is very important to you and that worth can be given or taken by how bright one is. At his age, he is still figuring out who he is and where his place is in the world. The most important message you can communicate is that you will continue to be there when he needs you. It sounds like you are close and that you are a good resource for him. That is plenty sufficient. Let him decide what part of himself to offer the world.

Hi Bill!
You and Susan have been on my mind lately. I was sharing with someone from ODE that our team understands customer service and how it applies to education, thanks to you! Hope you are both well. You are too kind as I owe my focus and success to you two as my mentors, guides, and cheerleaders. I'm so happy to hear that your client base is growing as you have talents and gifts to share. Have a Happy Easter!
