Sometimes when everything falls apart, the real change can begin

I don’t know about you, but I don’t particularly like it when it feels as if everything is falling apart. In fact, I really don’t like it. If you’re like most of us, you do about everything you can to hold it together…to keep the balls in the air…to stay in your comfort zone.

Slow Down

Things are moving fast. Agreed? Often, it’s difficult to keep up with the pace of our own lives. For the record, I’m in a hotel room in Lubbock, TX after a day-long meeting, working on three things at once (this post not included), have another meeting tomorrow morning, fly home in the afternoon, have another full-day meeting on Friday, and then leave for San Francisco on Sunday.

Incongruent Service

Have you ever received service that didn’t fit the situation? As you may have guessed, I’m going to tell you about a recent experience of mine where the service was completely incongruent.

If you are anything like me you have baggage…actually if you’re anything like most of the people I’ve encountered through work or friendship, you have baggage. We all have it…it is a human condition. The problem is not that you have baggage…it is what you do with it.

Here is what it looks like….

Ticket Agents – The staff that ensure the positive experience of the guest and are face to face with the reason for business at the beginning

Ground Crew – Safety and Operations – delivers the product, ensure the safety, and adjusts to the changes in environment

Flight Attendant – Guides the customer through their experience

Pilot – locked behind some door and if procedures are followed I can see him on the way off the plane.
